How much do you cost?

Our standard charge within Edinburgh is £600. This applies for all ceilidhs (except Hogmanay) that finish at midnight or earlier. A charge of £50 per half hour applies for ceilidhs that finish later.

For venues that are outside the Edinburgh City Bypass, travelling expenses at £50 plus £0.60 a mile apply from Edinburgh City Centre. Additional charges may apply for large venues to cover additional PA costs.

We are happy to travel further afield, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Do you do charity dances?

The Auld Reekie Sawbones are keen to lend their talents to charitable organisations and are available for a small number of charity gigs each year. The following conditions apply:

  1. We will perform free of charge, but will require reasonable expenses (usually around £100 for equipment hire etc).
  2. All other performers appearing at the same event must also waive their fees.
  3. As demand for this service is high we will require at least six weeks notice.

Do you play other music?

Our repoitoire covers a wide range of Celtic music spanning the centuries, but although we do not play covers, we do play music for just listening to if people need a break from the ceilidh

We also have the facilities to play MP3s or CDs, which can be made available to play disco type music provided by ourselves or from your own compilation CD.
